QUALITY BUILT TO LAST FOR GENERATIONS

Rustic Pavillions by Michiana Backyard Builders are constructed with locally and regionally harvested trees or trees. These trees, by nature, are subject to the weather and regional growing conditions, which helps to ensure our timber can withstand the local climate. At Michiana Backyard Builders we always use solid timbers to construct our pavilions. This ensures durable, long-lasting buildings. Our local sawmill cuts our beams, posts, and rafters from these trees, which ensures that we control the quality (plus it helps us in our mission of supporting our local community here in Michiana).

We use the highest quality craftsman-style construction so that our pavilions are stable and durable... as well as useful and attractive. We hand-select our timbers, typically we use Red Oak, White Oak, Poplar, Douglas Fir, and of course Cedar. By doing so we are more capable of meeting your objectives. We typically construct our structures with mortise and tenon joints which are strong and stable. We also use wooden pegs to construct the main frame of our pavilions. This is a much stronger method of construction than bolting or screwing timbers. It also provides that authentic look and feel of true, Old World Craftsmanship.
